BDSM & Kink

Affirming Online Therapy for members of the BDSM & Kink Community Across CA, FL, & NV.

Helping people release shame, guilt, and trauma allowing them to embrace sexual freedom and expression.

You’re afraid, and rightfully so; there is so much stigma in the world.

Maybe you’re feeling anxious, constantly thinking, what would people think if they knew? How would I explain myself if my friends or, god forbid, my family found out? You’re not alone; most people don’t understand you. Maybe you grew up in a religious home, and no matter how hard you have tried to shake those messages, they keep creeping back into your mind and won’t allow you to enjoy sex. There are probably some kinks or power dynamics that turn you on, and you have a hard time leaning into them. Or maybe you have sexual trauma, and you were hoping to engage in these power dynamics or scenes to take back your power, but it’s becoming too triggering, and you’re not sure how to process this—to let go or take control. You thought this would be a fun time and realize it’s more uncomfortable or complicated than you anticipated.

Do you want to take a step in the direction of sexual freedom but find yourself unable to break through the barrier? Maybe a nagging voice in your mind keeps telling you this isn’t right, that there is something wrong with you, and that you should be ashamed of yourself. Here you are, an adult, engaging in consensual play with another consenting adult, and yet, it’s still hard for you to embrace this side of yourself because deep down, you feel like something is wrong with you – I’ve been there.

How it works:

Therapy with members of the community primarily focuses on dissecting what is going on to get to the core issues. Many people are having new experiences they haven’t had, and while this can be exciting, there can be many feelings of sadness, grief, fear, and self-doubt. Growing up in a world full of stigma, it can be challenging to navigate sharing your identity with loved ones, even your partner(s).

Together, we will examine the systems and structures you may have subconsciously developed from the messages you received growing up. We will work on building self-validation rather than external validation and gaining a better understanding of who you are without explaining yourself to others.

Some people in the community have experienced sexual trauma in their lives and have tried to heal, but nothing seems to be working. Together, we can explore how you can use BDSM & Kink to heal sexual trauma. Kink is a powerful bodily experience that can facilitate healing when utilized in a caring and consensual dynamic; working together, we will dive into these past traumas and process them as we navigate your dynamics. Together, we can work on navigating and identifying a safe partner to engage in Kink and process emotions and triggers as they arise.

No matter how you choose to engage in the community, I know how difficult it can be to embrace yourself fully and let your desires take over.

Plus, you’ll be doing this work with someone who understands where you are coming from.
