My therapeutic approach is rooted in Jungian depth psychology, which draws on psychodynamic principles and Bowen Family Systems theory.
This perspective enables me to view an individual's challenges not only personally but also within the broader context of their family and societal systems. I help my patients unravel and address deep-rooted issues by bringing unconscious patterns to the forefront, fostering meaningful and lasting change.

Depth, Jungian, & Shadow Work Psychotherapy
Going beneath surface-level symptoms to engage with the unconscious mind, integrate the shadow, and reconcile the diverse parts of the psyche.
Jungian & Depth Psychology: Exploring the unconscious dynamics, archetypes, and repetitive life patterns that influence your choices, relationships, and self-perception.
Shadow Work: Safely identifying, confronting, and integrating the repressed, denied, or marginalized aspects of the self, including hidden desires, anger, and shame, to reclaim personal power and wholeness.
Parts Work & Ego-State Integration: Working with the internal constellation of the psyche. We help you identify, understand, and harmonize the different "parts" of yourself (such as the inner critic, the protector, or the wounded child) that drive internal conflict or relational self-sabotage.
Dreamwork & Active Imagination: Utilizing depth-oriented techniques to translate the symbolic language of the unconscious, uncovering deep-seated insights that traditional cognitive therapies cannot reach.
Sex, Intimacy, & Relationship Diversity (SGM & CNM Affirming)
Specialized clinical care that moves beyond traditional, heteronormative frameworks to support diverse sexual identities, relationship structures, and sexual communities.
LGBTQIA+ Identity, Exploration, & Integration: Supporting individuals navigating sexual orientation, gender identity, coming out, and the integration of self across the lifespan.
Gay, Bisexual, & Queer Men’s Mental Health: Addressing the intersection of queer identity, societal minority stress, sexual health, and relational intimacy.
Consensual Non-Monogamy (CNM) & Polyamory: Providing navigation for couples, throuples, and multi-partner networks. This includes opening, closing, or restructuring relationship agreements, as well as deconstructing and dismantling open dynamics.
Kink & BDSM Communities: Kink-aware and sex-positive therapy addressing the unique relational dynamics, communication protocols, and identity integration within BDSM and kink subcultures.
Sex Workers & Adult Content Creators: Providing and affirming clinical support for escorts, OnlyFans models, and adult content creators navigating stigma, privacy, industry-specific stress, and personal relationships.
Chem-Sex & Sexualized Drug Use (Harm Reduction): Specialized, non-shaming intervention utilizing a harm-reduction framework to address the intersection of substance use and sexual behavior.
Gay, Bisexual, & Queer Men’s Mental Health & Intimacy
A dedicated, depth-oriented space for queer and questioning men to heal developmental wounds, deconstruct systemic shame, and safely explore the full spectrum of their desire, intimacy, and connection.
Healing Childhood Wounds, Bullying, & Neglect: Addressing the deep-seated impact of growing up in a world that felt unsafe. We do the profound work of healing childhood neglect, school-age bullying, and the chronic, hyper-vigilant survival states that queer men often carry into adulthood.
Religious Deconstruction & Spiritual Trauma: Supporting men navigating the painful, complex process of untangling their identity from dogmatic, shame-based religious upbringings, conversion therapy, or spiritual abuse, helping you rebuild a self-determined sense of meaning.
Questioning & Exploring Sexuality: Providing a confidential, non-judgmental space for men who are questioning their sexuality later in life, navigating the coming-out process, or integrating their queer identity with their professional and personal lives.
Intimacy, Connection, & Relationship Dynamics: Moving past the superficial barriers to find deep, lasting connection. We work through fear of vulnerability, emotional armor, and the unconscious patterns (or "parts") that cause queer men to self-sabotage their relationships.
Sexual Wellness, Kink, & BDSM Exploration: A sex-positive, kink-aware space to explore your desires without shame. Whether you are navigating sexual concerns, desire discrepancies, or looking to safely explore BDSM, kink, and alternative sexual expressions, we integrate these desires into a cohesive, empowered sense of self.
Shadow Work for the Queer Psyche: Using Jungian depth work to reclaim the parts of yourself, your anger, your pleasure, your sensitivity, or your power that you had to repress or hide just to survive growing up.

A message from Dr. Grey
I am a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am deeply committed to helping people navigate life’s most profound challenges, deep-seated trauma, and achieve authentic healing. My educational journey has been rich and diverse, equipping me with a profound understanding of the human psyche and relational dynamics.
As a child, life was not filled with love, warmth, and safety; it was surrounded by chronic instability, chaos, neglect, and complex trauma. My mother was Bipolar, and embraced the intoxicating touch of Mania, spinning out of orbit and creating destruction in her path. My father was absent, consumed by alcohol, leaving behind only the cold reality of collect calls from prison and the heavy silence of a lifetime behind bars.
Moving from state to state, abusive household to abusive household, I didn’t know what stability was, constantly trying to camouflage myself to get by. My trauma complex, compounded by insecure attachment and childhood sexual assault and physical abuse, meant I didn’t know safety.
I was the parentified child, managing my mother’s emotions, learning to keep her happy, trying to keep her calm, all while being expected to attend school, protect my little brother and sister, and pretend like nothing was wrong.
Later in life, I was rehomed with a new family, and I quickly learned that I was no longer the parent, but raising a traumatized child is not for the faint of heart, and while they did their best, this phase of life came with new challenges. Religion entered my life, further compounding my trauma. Being eight years old and told that I would burn in hell just for being born was a hard concept to grasp. Being told that God is loving, while simultaneously being told He is jealous and vengeful, was a psychological whirlwind. Being told I was made in His image, yet also told I was inherently dirty, a sinner, and headed for eternal damnation, left me believing that no matter what I did, I would never be enough.
When puberty hit, I began to feel attraction toward other boys. I remember praying desperately to God to make it stop, to change me. But change never came, and the shame deepened. It grew so heavy that I believed it would be better to no longer be alive, that the world would be lighter if I were gone.
Being bullied for being gay, terrified of the feelings I couldn't escape, I tried everything to be accepted by anyone. Navigating a world where I didn't know where I belonged, saying and doing anything to feel wanted, included, and loved, I became a shell of a human, empty and devoid of identity.
I specialize in Trauma, and Sex, because these are two things I experienced very young, non-consensually, that shaped the way I connected to others, myself, and the world.
In doing my own deep work, I came to understand how my attachment injuries and childhood experiences shaped my sense of self, my persona, and my shadow. I saw how my unconscious would take over, developing coping mechanisms that were necessary to survive my childhood, but were now sabotaging the life I wanted to live.
I firmly believe that to move forward in life, we must go back to the beginning. We must heal the inner child, embrace radical self-love, and learn to dance with our shadow. By reprocessing the experiences that have shaped us with insight, we can release what no longer serves us: the lies we tell ourselves, the defense mechanisms that destroy our connection, and the masks we juggle to fit in.
My patients have affectionately named me “The Loving Hammer.” This nickname captures my clinical style: empathetic yet confrontational, combining deep warmth with the directness to challenge and support my patients. Together, we will work to uncover your soul wounds, examine how these pains have shaped your life, connect your present experiences to past interactions, and gain valuable insight into how you can dismantle the survival strategies that disconnect you from yourself, others, and the world, so you can finally step into a life of cohesion.
I know what it is to be hijacked by my own history. I know the suffocating terror of letting my 4-year-old part scramble to keep everyone else happy just to feel safe. I know the exhausting drive of my 12-year-old part, obsessively overachieving in school, desperately trying to prove through perfect grades that I was valuable and worthy of being loved. I know the agonizing pressure of my 16-year-old part, hiding my sexuality and exploding with protective, destructive rage, an anger that was nothing more than a desperate scream to be loved for who I was. I know the hollow ache of my 20-year-old part whispering the devastating lie that I was fundamentally unlovable. I know the absolute agony of begging on my knees to be seen, only to be shattered by the coldness of conditional love.
I want you to know that here you are enough, every single part of you belongs, and you are never too much.
I know what it is like to be a complex, multidimensional person.
I am Gay, Queer, BIPOC, Kinky, Neurodivergent, Polyamorous, a Professor, a Boss, a Dog Dad, and Imperfect, but most importantly,
I am human.
