Helping Sex Workers & Adult Content Creators challenge shame, confront loneliness, and embrace cohesion to feel more connected to themselves.

You never could’ve anticipated this when you started.

You have built this persona on the screen to keep the viewers engaged and the subscriptions flowing, but when the camera is shut off and everyone leaves, you feel disconnected and alone in your own body. When you first started, everything seemed fine; you were excited to be making money. Maybe you got to hang out with some fantastic people, collaborate with other people you always dreamed about, and make new friends, and the parties were fun, for the most part. You thought this was glamorous; people know you as a great creator, but now, when you wake up every day, you feel less and less connected to who you are. Getting ready, you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror as you try to fight off the pounding in your head from all the drinking or maybe some other party favors, and you’re not sure who that person is looking back at you. No matter where you go or what environment you’re in, you’re constantly objectified and think to yourself, is this all I’m good for?

The hustle and grind of the industry is bleeding into your relationships, and you are longing for a genuine connection not only with others but with yourself... deep down, you feel alone. This persona that you created on camera is so confident, adventurous, sexual, and takes up space, but when the camera shuts off, you shy away, make yourself smaller, and maybe you think to yourself, why am I like this? The push and pull between connecting with other workers make you feel more transactional and less like someone who deserves genuine connections. The isolation, low self-esteem, anxiety, substance use, and lack of identity are getting to be too much. You never could’ve anticipated this when you first started. Now you’re finding out this happens when the cameras shut off.

Every day passes, and the routine remains the same. It’s getting harder and harder to have genuine relationships without that nagging thought, questioning whether these people you call friends are your friends. You miss the ability to go out and not feel like you’re just an object; you miss feeling like a human being. You’re ready to reconnect with yourself, step out from the camera, and live life as your true self, not just this persona you portray on camera.

You’re ready to:

  • Set healthier boundaries around your interactions, friends, and energy

  • Understand your fears around rejection and overcome past traumas.

  • Improve your self-esteem and self-acceptance.

  • Reduce your substance use.

  • Build cohesion between your professional and personal life.

  • Become more connected to yourself.

Lasting change can happen with Online Therapy.

How it works:

Therapy with people in the industry is taking a step back, shedding this persona that has been created to perform and getting to know the real you, raw and uninhibited. In this space, there is no performance to sell. We will dive deep into your past, gain insight into pivotal moments that have shaped you, and address past hurts, fears, and other issues that prevent you from living your life more cohesively.

We will consider implementing systems and structures that allow you to be your authentic self and not have to stay “on” all the time. Together, we will work on verbalizing boundaries, advocating for yourself, and developing your voice to confront objectification so you can begin to feel human again. For some, this may even involve reducing substance use with the harm reduction model.

My goal is that you leave each session with something tangible to apply to your day-to-day: something to think about, something to try, something to read, or another tool to begin making the minor tweaks that add up to significant change.

Plus, you’ll be doing this work with someone who understands where you are coming from.
